: THE FOURTH OF JULY IN INDIAN COUNTRY
: BY MARK ANTHONY ROLO
> Siyo Ayesha ---
thank you for posting this. I can understand the mixed-feelings & conflict within, for I am a mixed-blood Cherokee.
I am extremly proud of my Cherokee heritage, yet equally proud of my Celtic heritage. I am proud of my ancestors who fought in the Revolution, & proud of those who fought in the War Between The States.
I was in the US Army during Desert Shield-Storm, & I'm proud of that too.
Yet, as a mixed-blood my soul is in constant conflict over what has been done to my people over the years in this country,
& how I'm *suppose* to act (react) to it...
Again, thanks for this posting...
Wado ---
