Sure would like to know who makes it for you if/when you find out. And if you can manage it, how about scanning some pics of that beauty when you get it, and maybe even a pic of you in period clothes with it????

: I'm looking at either a 1st model or possibly the officers model .65 caliber Bess (by North Star West).
: I'm not sure the maker of the 1st model, I'm dealing with a former reenactor buddy, who is a firearms dealer & told me about some museum quality 1st models (says you couldnt tell the difference from originals!). I trust his judgement ;-)
: Once I find out I'll let you know.
: 1st model would be a great choice, since the Loyalists units were not typically issued the latest model, especially early in the Rev' War (our clothing date is 1777).
: I have a question about Killdeer I hope you can answer, since your privy to the original plans, what school of riflemaking does Killdeer represent, or is it a little of this--a little of that?
: Some of its elements remind me of Dickert (etc), & I was curious
: about that.
: Again, great looking rifle, hope to add one to my collection one of these days (soon)!
