Hi, Jayne. I read this book, and really enjoyed Thom's writing style. Another of his books, even better, was From Sea to Shining Sea, about Lewis & Clark. Absolutely wonderful! I think he also wrote Follow the River, though I didn't find that quite as interesting as From Sea to Shining Sea. It was a good yarn, but the Lewis & Clark story is so riveting, and so utterly incredible, as to make one wonder how in the world they ever did made that journey, and Thom brings every step of it to life.
