Hi, I am new to this site.Last time I was here was a year ago and I am glad this site is still up.The last time I chimed in was to defend Madeleine Stowe who some claim on this site is the least successful of those from the movie.Well she's got a new movie out with John Travolta this June 18th call "The General's Daughter".She is the leading lady.I heard she has great chemistry with Travolta.I just read "The Enigma that is Madeleine Stowe" in your Mohican Musing and I have to say yes, she has made some bad choices in her career and as a fan, this is the most frustrating of all things.I still think she is our best, most elegant and most graceful actress. Now that she has return after 2 years off to have/raise her baby I hope this will mark a new beginning for her.I don't have a problem with nudity in films and don't think it anyway detracts from her performance. It is not a moral issue with me or it seems with Stowe. Its not a big deal.Anyway she hasn't taken her clothes off in 5 years which might make a couple of people happy. Also she will be on Rosie O'Donnel Tuesday 8th, then Regis/Kathielee 9th.Then on Tonightshow on 17th for those who are curious.
Also, have any of you folks seen a television movie version of J.F Cooper's The Deerslayer made in 1978?Stowe was in that one.I have a copy. She had the Jodhi May role of the younger sister to a strong older sister played by?Anyway, an interesting performance. The same basic story as LOTM with Hawkeye and Chingaach saving 2 sisters.Stowe was not great, she was very green at 19 years old, but wow!a beauty to behold. She was rail-thin and already possessed of that great honey-voice.Sorry for writing an essay; like I said, I haven't been here in a while and just had a lot to say. Also has DDL retired???
