: : Hi Mohicanlanders,
: : Did anyone catch the first two Horatio Hornblower movies on Sundays on A&E......I would like to hear your comments on the Horatio Hornblower movies, if you saw them.

:
: Hi, Pat! I watched the first one and was absolutely hooked! Watched the 2nd one last night, and still felt the same way. A great adventcha, I think! And I concur that the acting was well done..... It's all great fun, in addition to your well-made point about the lessons of duty and responsibility. And, BTW, A & E has been running encores on Tuesday night, so anyone who misses them on Sunday can catch them then, and possibly even at other times. (A & E is pretty good for that.)

>Yes indeed!
I've got to agree, as a fan of the *original* version [Gregory Peck] I was quite excited when I heard that a series of four Hornblower films would be made. Havent missed a one yet ;-)
I highly recommend these adventures to anyone who likes a good story, the spray of salt water, and the romance of sailing ships....

Cant wait for the next episode!

P.S.
I've been watching both the Sunday & Tuesday night showings, I just cant get enough of it :-)
