I was raised in Istanbul but born in Rome, but Kosova was part of our daily lives as my father fought and wrote and published, and survived many an assassination attempt... while my mother sacrificed to help him and support his cause... and lost her health from all the stress and tragedies assocated with it...
Indeed my father's sad ghost walks with each and every refugee, and dies each time a Kosovar dies... and his tears are on my pillow every morning I wake up...

Blessed be his memory, and blessed be the memory of each and every martyr, from each and every nation and each and every family, who gave up his/her life so that his/her people may have a better tomorrow...

And blessed be those who gave up their lives for a friend....
