Wow, Rich! What a moving and interesting update. Thank you for sharing the story about Jimmy & Juanita Little Coyote. It's wonderful when our paths cross those of others who make such a difference in our lives. Thanks for the beautiful photo, too. And I'm really looking forward to seeing Eric's latest work, as I'm sure many of his fans are. Perhaps this young man has really found his niche in the art world. Creating this kind of beauty is a gift, for sure, and might mean living in a happier world than that of "show biz."
As for the Gathering, I think most attendees will be happy to know that even if the River Walk somehow eludes us this year, we still have beautiful and exciting places to visit that will provide us with plenty of enjoyment and photo ops! Be it Plan A, B, or C, it will be great!
As for those of you who haven't made up your minds yet, or perhaps are just now learning of the Gathering, DO think seriously about this & take advantage of the opportunity to join a great group of fun-loving folks for a terrific time. Just check out the Gathering page on this site, and the links to photos on various attendees sites to see how much fun we had last year! We're waiting to hear from YOU!
Speaking of which, if you are attending the Gathering and have recently changed your email address, please let me know, so you won't miss out on any mailings regarding plans, travel schedules, etc. And speaking of those things, does anyone need a ride from either airport to Chimney Rock Park. I have done a group email, but haven't heard back from everyone. Let me know if you need help of any kind regarding travel or accommodations.
I hope to get a printable map up on my site this week to aid those who are driving into the area for the first time. Just as an aside for those staying at the bunkhouse, it will be open for check-in at 5:30 on Thursday evening. Also, even if you are staying elsewhere, be sure to drop by the bunkhouse Thursday eve to pick up your Gathering Packets. These will include the Program Guide, maps & directions to sites we'll be visiting, brochures & info from Chimney Rock Park, and other goodies!
It's getting closer! The excitement grows!
