And you think WE do??? Oh, silly gal! We've got you fooled, eh? I, for one, just make it up as I go, with nary a thought as to what's really going on. (This is pretty much how I live my life, too, which explains a LOT, believe me!)

:Although I loved the LOTM movie, I do not always understand things that you are referring to or discussing. So, I just read it, and keep silent since I cannot contribute.

Mohicanland can be daunting when you first visit, I know...but after awhile, you'll start to get the hang of who some of the characters are. When we're "role playing," we're always happy to meet a new citizen of our imaginary world. Maybe you can think of a crazy persona to take on. When we're talking about the movie, it's easier to jump in with thoughts or questions. When history is being discussed, I frequently do as you, and just read and assimilate. But please don't ever be shy about asking for explanations when something is puzzling. There's almost always someone who will be happy to try to explain what we're blathering about!

You will definitely understand a lot more after you can put faces & personalities with some of the names. Those of us who were are last year's Gathering have a real advantage there, I know, but just think...soon you will have the same advantage over newbies to the site! You'll be one of the annointed Mohican Maniacs, for sure! (Some might wonder if this is an honor....?)

: When I first started learning the computer (last July) I started right here on the Mohican Board, only I must again say that your topics of conversation are not always understandable.

As Elaine said, it's sometimes like starting in the middle of the book, but starting a new thread is ALWAYS good, and it has been very quiet of late, so this would be a good time to do so. Why don't you post again soon, and tell us what you love from this movie? Are you a Schweigger or a Dan the Man Fan? Or a history buff? Or do you have a favorite moment in the film that gets you every time? Inquiring minds want to know. One of the neat things about this bunch of folks is that we each love the movie for our own special reasons, and have lots of different perspectives to bring to discussions of the film's merits. Get us going on a topic, why doncha?

: Both Sandy and I are counting on having a lot of FUN, and meeting so many of you down at the Gathering!!!

I cannot imagine anyone being in this most beautiful part of the country with a bunch of really nice (and crazy) folks, and NOT having fun...so I'm gonna guess you'll get your wish! Can't wait to meet you & Sandy, and can't wait for JUNE!!
