:      We need your help.  After a long, hard struggle we have finally won.  I
: am speaking of the site of the Sand Creek massacre.  Senator Ben Nighthorse
: Campbell (R-CO) has introduced a bill that will lead to creating a National
: Park at the site.  

:      During the Civil War the Union Third Cavalry led by the notorious Col.
: Chivington, attacked the peaceful Cheyenne village of Black Kettle.  His Union
: troops massacred  more than 200 American Indians, two-thirds of whom were
: women and children.  The bodies of the dead were mutilated beyond recognition.
: At the time of the attack the American flag and a white flag was flying over
: the camp.

:      Last year we were able to get the site of the Battle of the Wash*ta
: turned into a National Park.  It was this massacre by Lt. Col. Custer that
: eventually led to his demise at the Little Big Horn.
