Let me say ...
Tom is a sporadic visitor, but he's been popping in for a LONG time. He's an intelligent fellow who brings something to the table every trip to The Board.
Champ, we are extremely happy that you've become a "regular" here. You are extremely knowledgeable, have a great wit, and I truly want to meet you someday!
Marlitta, I'm not sure who you are, but I assure you that you are welcomed here. We are always pleased when history buffs/re-enactors join up!

Someone brought up how most nuances are lost on the Internet, especially if you don't well know the person you are "speaking" to. How VERY true. We've learned the hard way ourselves. I feel Tom was kidding. I know he truly loves the movies of which he spoke. Then again, I know well how it feels to have what you love knocked down.
All I can say is, please respect one another. It's been said here before, but if the 3 of you sat down at a table, face-to-face, to shoot the breeze, you'd probably get along splendidly!
We kid & rib galore here, but it's usually after someone's been around a bit and understands. It's a virtual science, and it doesn't always work. I'd hate to see someone leave here, & trash the place, because of a misunderstanding.
