: Mr. Marlita,
: As I read your post it came to my attention that my attempts at humor were overlooked. What I wrote was supposed to be funny!
>The problem with the internet, sir, is unless you know the person well, *attempts* at humor can be lost in translation.
Your *attempt* at humor did read a something more, I assure you...
: I have seen those films dozens of times and eventually I noticed some rather humorous and unintentional glitches on the part of some of the participating reenactors.
>You watch ANY film enough you will spot glitches...
: Also since when did the hobby of reenacting become some sort of sanctified pursuit that it is above a little ribbing? When you think about it the sight of overweight, middle-aged folks attempting to portray malnourished, exhausted, young soldiers is funny!
>What reenactment were you at? Yes, as I said before, there are some "Cornfeds" out there, but I have not seen as many at events I've been at as you allude to...
: As for your challenge to join the reenactors?
: "I reject the challenge! Cuz' reenacting is no challenge! But I will enjoy beating up on it some more!"
>Oh? And how would you know unless you try?
As a famous president once said, "if you cant stand the heat, get the h*ll out of the kitchen"...
: What is my prediction for fat reenactors attempting to march a mile of open ground in July heat?
: "PAAAAAIIIIIIN!"
>At least they are out there, where are you?, oh yeah, duckin' out the kitchen's back door ;-)
You know, I have as much humor as anyone else, but what I cant stand is when someone cuts down my lifestyle [etc] & have never tried it for themselves.
'Nough said ---
