Hi Chris,
": The interview with Mike Phillips was just wonderful. What an interesting man! Did you tape his earlier stories also? Would he allow you to print those for us to read? He sounds like someone you would want to just sit next to and listen to for as long as he would talk. What a wealth of history and experience he has to share!"
You are right! A very interesting man. It was hard to wrap it up.
I'm sorry that we didn't tape the other conversations because he sure would have let us print them. He loves to tell stories about his life, his experiences, his people, family, history ... He's a good storyteller.
Maybe we can talk about some of his other recollections on the board???
One thing you might be interested in is "Big Bear." Have you seen it? The role of Big Bear was promised to Mike awhile back. Unfortunately, by the time things got under way, according to Mike, new casting people came in and there went his role. Gordon Tootoosis was really good, but I sure was able to picture Mike "Sachem" as Big Bear. What do you think? (Thanks to CT for the good trade!)
": Your latest issue of The Courier was very interesting. However, I must have missed my invitation to the first meeting of the Warrioresses. Since you have publicly stated that the Three Piggies are members, I do hope you will be sure to keep us advised of future meetings. We certainly want to be part of such a fine and lively group."
Oh, but the Courier can only print what news we have! If your invitation didn't arrive it must be taken up with Commander Achillse. She must have been in such a hurry to hold the first meeting that she forgot to tell people about it! I wonder if any other warrioresses were present???????? I must have a word with Achillse about this.
