Greetings, and a Question about the Courier..

Hey all! Until now I've been a just an observer of the posts here, figuring as I had no clue what the heck was going on, I'd do better to just watch for a while! Well, I'm breaking my silence to introduce myself as another devoted fan of LOTM and a history buff, particularly Revolutionary War era and Colonial times..Also, I have a question that probably seems down right stupid to all you veterans of this page, but I just have to ask. What exactly is "The Courier"? I noticed the various posts here from Simon Girty and the like but I couldn't get the gist of what's going on..
