: Halloo, She!
: May I take it that you wear skirts and petticoats whilst trackin' and reportin'?? May I suggest breeches of brown doe skin as a replacement? They don't impress the gentlemen, but they get the job done. Nothin' like slogging through mud and water, scramblin' through underbrush, and climbin' rocks in fem-e-nine apparell to put one in a grumpy mood...take it from me, I know!

Well, halloo there, Pilgrim Penny!
Ye got a real point there about the way to dress for trampin' through the forest. Hard to ford a stream or skin a deer with ruffles draggin' through everythin'. Howsever, I been studyin' how Cora and Alice had themselves got up, and I got some new and fancy ideas about women in the forest. If'n ye ever went over a cliff, wouldn't ye want to float daintily down through the air like Alice did? I mean, if'n ye gotta go, ye might as well leave a classy impression. And then, look how Hawkeye reacted to Cora when he got a eyefull o' that there cleeeevage. Got to think there's somethin' to all this business about skirts and ruffles. Soooo, I'm doin' a little remakin' o' my image. Shame the French shoes didn't work out, since I still only got one moccasin, but I think the eagle feather will be just the right touch.
Anyway, see you at Bumppo's tonight, and tell me what you think.
