Dear Y'all,

A very good book that really helps one understand the recent past is "Lakota Woman" by Mary Crow Dog. A first hand account by the woman who gave birth there during it and later married Leonard Crow Dog, AIM's spiritual leader. It only mentions Means a couple of times but so much more becomes clear. Wish I could meet her.
