If'n you see that Girty fellow again soon, git him to tell his Shawnee brothers they're a'going to have to put on some shirts next time they come over to Bumppo's Tavern. It was allright when it was just Hawkeye, but it's gettin' difficult for a woman to keep her mind on business. From now on any man without actual pants is going to have to put a shirt on. Lessen it hurts business, of course.

And if I were you I'd keep my own scalpin' knife handy with Ol' Girty around. I do.
