Miss Marcia,

just a brief message to let'chya know that I will be by the corn crib tonight for some grub & a place to rest...

After my chance encounter with "Queen Lizzie" I am in need of some medical attention as well. If you are unable to render me medical attention, maybe you would be kind enough to fetch the doctor.
If you do, do not tell her [or anyone else] why you send for her. Remember, the Colonials have a price upon my scalp, and I do not want harm to come to you [or my scalp!]...
