Fortunately, Doctor Mary sees the real reason for Miss Marcia's
cruel rejection, and takes no offense. I mean, besides the
fact she's hit herself in the head with her wooden spatula
a few too many times and probably eats her own wretched cooking.
Jealousy, pure and simple, SS -- she knows the divinely
muscular Mr. Poe is in my thrall and would never give her
a tumble...figuratively OR literally!!! It escapes me why
she cannot look beyond these petty affairs of the heart and
join with me in the true bonds of womanly sisterhood, but
there you are. I am happy to align myself with you, SS, because
that's the kind of person I am.
