: I am curious about the cut scenes from LOTM. Does anybody know for sure that they still exist? It seems you hear so often, most recently in Russell Means' interview, about the scenes that were cut, and I wonder if they were stored or even kept?

: Also, I recently replaced my elderly VCR with one that allows me to "pause" scenes without those nasty lines, and after pausing my way through most of LOTM I sure saw a lot more! For instance, the gorgeously painted canoe paddles, never seen until "pause"! Plus, I started wondering about the scene at the beginning of the Massacre, where Hawyeye is shown unlocking his handcuffs. At his feet is the dead redcoat guard. Did Hawkeye or Uncas kill the redcoat when the fighting started, or was the guy just fortutiously slain by the attackers? Any thoughts?
