As previously posted, Rich & I have been working with Prime Talent & Eric Schweig to create a promotional section within our Mohican Press Site for Eric. The purpose of this cooperative endeavour is to offer a reliable Internet source for Eric's fans to be informed of his professional projects and appearances he is scheduled to make.
Here, we will provide information on Eric's career, as well as updated releases via Prime Talent & Eric on any current news.
This is endorsed by Eric & his agent. ALL information released will be
received directly through them. We hope this will be helpful to those who have been following his career. Eric Schweig has a large, enthusiastic, international fan base who seek not only updated information, but his success as an actor & an artisan. We're sure all of you wish him well & respect his wishes in regards to how he wishes to handle public releases. He appreciates your continued interest and thanks all of you for your support & loyalty.
We spoke with Eric last night and have a few things to pass along. He emphasized that he wishes to have news releases & updates presented on the Internet solely through Mohican Press. These releases will be of a professional nature only. His private life, of course, will remain private. Any films, charity appearances, or speaking engagements that are scheduled will be announced via this Site.
There is an upcoming appearance that Eric & Deidre Sam have asked us
to post on the promo page. We'll have the details for you very soon.
There are other things in the works. Again, further details will be announced shortly.
Fan Club; Apparently there is some confusion as to where Eric's fan should write. Though the Fan Club had been unable to respond to the many letters received in the last year, they are now back in business.
Eric has expressed his appreciation of your patience with this. Do remember that the Fan Club is being handled by volunteers. They are not being paid for their time and efforts. More on this later ...
He is very excited about the progression of his carving and has been focusing on the creation of new masks.
We understand that there is an unofficial Eric Schweig Internet Fan Club who are working on creating a newsletter. For clarification purposes; These ladies (including many who peruse this site & message board) are fans of Eric's who have gotten together through the Internet to share their interest and admiration for Eric. We know they wish him well & have expressed their enthusiastic support for his continued success. We are confident that their sincerity will be reflected by their respect for Eric's decisions in regard to how he intends to handle his professional promotion. We're sure that they will welcome the promo page that is currently underway here, in cooperation with Eric and his agent, as a source of reliable updates on Eric's projects, and will recognize that this addition is being offered for theirs, and all his fans', benefit. They have contacted us to inform us of their existence and have asked us to recognize their "affiliation" with Deidre Sam. We do know that there has been contact with Eric's agent and that they would like to receive releases from her. However, in light of Eric's wishes, we're sure they will understand and respect his decision to disseminate information through Mohican Press alone. He will, no doubt, appreciate their support on this. We sincerely wish them well & invite them to utilize the updates & information we will provide to enhance their newsletter items (provided no copyright infringement occurs). Hopefully, their fan club will grow to be a strong show of support for Eric Schweig, as well as a place for fellow fans to share their interests and stories.
(To avoid confusion; this is not the same fan club that provides photos & info to the public.)
