The Captives

If anyone out there is interested, I reccomend reading the following
two books, The Woodsman, and The Captives, both by Don Wright.
Both are about the frontier time period of 1750-1780, my favorite is The Captives, which takes place on the Kentucky frontier of the 1770's.The Woodsman on the other hand, is set in the French and
Indian war era and closely resembles the plot of the Last of the Mohicans. Both are incredible, spellbounding reading and are unfortunately, out of print. The author, Don Wright is/was a reenactor
and in real life a US Senator from Tenn, and one hell of a nice guy.
