: Well put, Kathy. I, personally, think DDL & Stowe would be perfect as Ada and Inman in Cold Mountain. I could just see them both in the roles as I read the book, which is wonderful, poetic & profound. It isn't a modern piece (Civil War era) but they would fit it so nicely. Anthony Minghella is supposed to direct this, but I don't know if it's been cast yet. He directed The English Patient, and could do a beautiful job of it, I'm sure. Anyone else read this?

:You are the second or third person who mentioned that DDL would be perfect for the male lead in Cold Mountain. One of the regulars on the DDL fan board says the same thing.
Sounds like a perfect role for him. Would he take it? Probably not...depends on the script. If I'm Minghella, I'm willing to wait.....
