: Well put, Kathy. I, personally, think DDL & Stowe would be perfect as Ada and Inman in Cold Mountain. I could just see them both in the roles as I read the book, which is wonderful, poetic & profound. It isn't a modern piece (Civil War era) but they would fit it so nicely. Anthony Minghella is supposed to direct this, but I don't know if it's been cast yet. He directed The English Patient, and could do a beautiful job of it, I'm sure. Anyone else read this?

Just finished reading the book; did enjoy it. Sherry was reading it at our first gathering and seemed to enjoy it. Liked the references to the area.
