Thanks MMMMarcia for your response. You seem to have the most fun out of this site. After viewing the pictures, it looked as if you were having a great time with a few tears, at the 1998 trip. My brother and nephew live in Ashville. I visited last June and also went to Chimney Rock; however, we took the lower trail and now I wish I had taken the high trail. We missed your group by just a couple of days. I'll be going back again. The scenery and mountain trips are beautiful. I still watch "Last of the Mohicans" quite often. Thanks again, I enjoy your notes.
