Hi, JC...good to see you posting again! I'm sure others can add to this, but here's what I know:

1. I know DDL was growing out his hair for LOTM, and it was getting pretty long at the Academy Awards, when he accepted the Oscar for My Left Foot.

2. I know that when they came back to RE-film the scene where he & Cora embrace after Magua's death, he was wearing a wig, as that scene was reshot about a year later, and his hair had been cut already.

3. I know that one of the hairdressers on the set says she added extensions to his hair to make it longer, though it was about chin length or more during filming.

4. I know that I read it was ALL his own hair, but...see #3! ;o)

5. And, finally, I know that he looked drop-dead gorgeous with that hair, and I wish he'd lose the head-like-a-coconut cut he's been sporting of late. That's just my opinion, and I know many of you, SYMT's in particular, like the newer, short look on your fellas...but to me, hair that short looks like my father's! Give me the Hawkeye look any day!
