As you know, I'm not Catholic, but I thought that you might enjoy checking out "The Letters of J.R.R. Tolkien."

Tolkien was a devout Catholic, and had profound, witty insights into religion, society, gender roles, etc etc....in addition to his scathing critique of a planned Lord of the Rings movie script from 1957.

It is hilarious, heartbreaking, and might leave one a better person for reading it.
