: : Yes..I was at Fort Frederick in MaryLand ...

: My family and I were there as well! We spent most of Saturday watching the events and taking in the sights. I looked around for you, but alais never did catch sight. Cherie' and I did happen to speak with both Pvt. Chauncey, Major Rogers and his daughter for a bit though.

: The activities at the Fort were wonderful. There were many sutlers and small handful of blanket merchants. Crafts were numerous and of marvelous quality. I was finally able to purchase the last of my equipment (yeah, right...). The next event I go to, I'll be able to dress proper without looking like a FARB... hopefully.

: Sorry we missed you,

Hi Marc!
Sorry I missed you at Fort Frederick. I am glad to know that you did see Pvt. Chauncey, the Major and his daughter. I would have loved to have met you. Did you see the parade on Saturday afternoon? If so, you saw me. In the accompanying photo I am on the right as you look at it, with Lt. Campbell of Sjt. Malcolm MacWilliam's and Davey Gunn's 77th Grenadiers in the center and Lt. Reilly on the left. I outrank them all! Malcolm was there, but he is hidden behind the flags. Cousin Davey Gunn was there also, but was on detached duty and did not parade. We had 20 Pennsylvanians in line of march, there were 12 Grenadiers, and 12 MaryLanders, with 4 drummer, 4 fifers, and a piper. It made quite a nice parade! Send us a photo of yourself all dressed up in your new finery...

Did you get into the fort?

Seamus
