: : Shrub is a colonial drink.  It's usually made of rum, with fruit juice (whatever is handy) and sugar.  Then you let it sit for a couple of months.  The longer it sits, the better and smoother it gets.  I tend to make mine from real lemons, but some day I'm going to venture into other fruits, as the colonial cookbooks offer recipes for them.

: : Seamus prefers his shrub chilled, but I'm fine drinking it warm.  Ping must be served chilled for it to be at it's best.
