dear Rich,
You know you got all my condolences and prayers for your Grandmother. Indeed she seems to have lived a worthy life, and passed on like stepping upon a cloud.
The Towers of Light photo, and the mention of her passing, blend in wonderfully!
May she rest in peace until she returns again....
You do know that all of us, do return many times!
Love Light and Laughter to U and yours

You may have seen this ... it's been passed around a bit on the Internet. What a great idea! These "Towers of Light" may be seen from March 11 through April 13, though I suspect this photo may have been enhanced ... I passed by the City twice on my trip to Long Island this week, both times in darkness. It was foggy both times, so the view was severely limited ... I could barely tell the City was there, much less that the Trade Center wasn't. I saw no Towers of Light, yet, they ARE there! I resisted a strong temptation to stop in at Ground Zero on my return trip ... I'll regret that decision, I'm afraid, but as they were pulling a flurry of bodies from the rubble over that span, I thought better of it ... I had had enough of bodies ...
: ... we had just laid Grandma to rest. I want to thank of of you who sent condolences. Very kind. Much appreciated. It was sad, and many a tear was shed, but it also was somewhat of a celebration. This lady was lucky. She lived a long & full life - 102 years, plus - and died in her home - built by my Grandfather - peacefully. What more could one ask for? We laid her to rest in the cemetery where my Grandfather, Father, one Aunt, 3 cousins, and a still-born nephew are all buried, so it certainly wasn't a happy event, but still, it was very comforting to be with my cousins & siblings - 8 of us had the honor of acting as pall-bearers & carrying my Grandmother to her final resting place - and all my other friends & relatives. Certainly made me long for home! Anyway, thanks to you all ...
: Regarding Ground Zero ... my brother has visited the site twice and has some interesting photos. If I get my hands on them, I'll share some of them with you down the road.
: The Gathering continues to slowly grow ... lots of first-timers coming this year ... lots of "veterans" not (though lots ARE!). Ah well, the circle of life! The first one all over again? We'll see ...
: New installment of "From The Ramparts" ... a little pictorial tour of the exterior Fort William Henry area. Coming, later on, a tour of the interior!
: Stay tuned!
