Seeing this photo makes me so sorry we didn't make the sunrise event but after riding around lost for OVER AN HOUR and not getting into our bed until well after 2:00 am we just couldn't do it. We will make every effort to be there this time.

I think Beth is right about this year's Gathering. We are very excited about the new and different opportunities this one has to offer. I think if we start comparing this one to that one, etc. we lose. It should be fun, informative, and we can't wait to see those whom we first met last year as well as those new faces we'll meet this year.

Glad you're home safe and sound....well safe anyway! LOL!

: Thanks, Beth! Beautiful passage. As Diane alluded to, there was a bit of a celebration in this. Though the tragedy of the double homicide at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church - a Church oh so familiar to me - did cast a shadow over it all. That murdered Priest was in my Grandmother's home, by her side, just the evening before.

: : I also wanted to express my annual amazement at the quality of this year's Gathering. I thought the last 2 years would be hard to top, but apparently I have underestimated the talents of you, Marcia and others!

: Well, thanks, it is shaping up nicely! Marcia, I can see you aren't aware, is not involved in this year's Gathering. If she were, it'd probably be even better! Thanks, this year, goes largely to Ann Colby ... her fingerprints are all over this event!

: : I am hoping that I can come for at least part of the time-although Hubby really balked at the whitewater rafting part of the trip. Perhaps I'll get him drunk and then quickly ship him down to NC!
