LOTM: the abandons society completely to live in the wilderness
The Boxer: anti IRA, living in a pro IRA town
The age of innocence: trying to contain his passions per social guidelines
and so on....
he likes character's that feel like thay are surrounded by madmen... the Crucible certainly shows that...
