just wanted to say hi.

my name's Bob. i live in Utica, NY (Mowhawk Valley).

i've always been a history buff, but wasn't all that interested in American history beyond the superficial until i saw LOTM in the theater.

for the last 10 years i've been doing medieval reenactment (society for creative anachronism), and have gone about as far as i care to with that right now.

this summer i plan on attending some F&I War events. Fort Stanwix is about 15 min. away and they host some events. i'll be starting with the '1750's longhunter' thing for a nice generic start.

i guess what i'm saying is that i was deeply inspired by LOTM and that now i have an interest in my local/state history, as well as pre-Rev reenactment. if there happens to be anyone in my area with similar interests here, i'd love to hear from you.
