Here's the latest on our plans for the 2002 Great Mohican Gathering ...
The Grand Raffle Prize (ala Eric Schweig's mask, French Trader's Wampum Sash & Choker, & Wright & Bama Magua Art in previous years) just MIGHT be this ... See Above Photo & Below Link. Discussions are on-going with the owner, and it might revert to a bidding-type sale, but I THINK he's leaning towards the raffle. What a prize! There are THREE firearms in here ... including a Wayne Watson original Killdeer, all sorts of knives & such INCLUDING the oft-asked about Chingachgook war club, and all kinds of other goodies like certificates of authenticity, letters, photos, etc. The winner of this thing would have themselves the definitive LOTM collection, that much is certain.
PLUS, we've booked our Mohican Gathering musician for this year (ala Barby Holder & the Hildebrands in previous years). Thank you, Ann Colby ... another job WELL done!!! Over the years, we often times get requests to feature more American Indian stuff at our Gatherings (though our special guests HAVE included Wes Studi & Eric Schweig!!!!) ... well, this year, on the first night, we're going to oblige! A dinner featuring American Indian fare to be followed by an American Indian musician, Mohican, no less, Bill Miller ... If you follow the link below, and then click on the "Back" link at its bottom, you can find out more about these things and more at the 2002 Great Mohican Gathering.
Your feedback on a couple of issues is important, so let us hear back from you, or you'll have to leave the decision-making to us! What then????
OK?
That's it, for now ...
