: : I was flipping channels on the telly again today, an obvious tactic to avoid hoovering and other household cleaning. I came across "The Bounty"(1984), which I had never seen. What a cast! Sir Anthony Hopkins and Sir Laurence Olivier, Liam Neeson, a gorgeous young Mel, and of course a young DDL! I wish I had known that two years ago when I was in Sydney, Australia, for a business trip and took a tour on the very same bounty used in the movie. It is now a cruise ship for rent. My team hired it for a dinner party. We boarded in the the afternoon; the Bounty motored out to the harbor entrance and then gently sailed back in while the sun set and while we ate and wandered around the ship. I knew Mel had walked those very planks, which was good enough for me, but now I learn that DDL had also. Some of you might enjoy that more than others, I know -- I'm an Uncasite more than a DDLer, but I'm still pretty exited to know DDL had been there.

Another DDLer here, too. Claude and I mentioned this movie to Mike while at the Gathering and he said he'd not seen it, either. I thought Anthony Hopkins was great in this role. Of course, Claude enjoyed all the Tahiti scenes!!!. There's something for everyone in this movie....men and women!
