Hi,
I just got the DVD of the 1992 film. I basically got it because I have been interested in the French & Indian War since I was a teenager. I have read and re-read Montcalm and Wolfe by Francis Parkman numerous times. Although the movie strays a bit from historical fact. I still find it to be one of the most entertaining and enjoyable movies I have seen in recent years. Also, just for the record. I have found out recently that Osprey, an English publishing company has re-printed some of their first titles in their, Men-at Arms series. One of the titles "Montcalm's Army" is back in print for a limited time. This book not only has a historical narrative of the French & Indian War but color plates of the various forces that fought under Montcalm's command. You can probably find it at most book stores or hobby shops or directly from Osprey's website.
