Hi Carolyn,
There is a lot of information on the internet. Are you interested in current practices or history? Sandy gave you some good passages dealing with the history. Which tribe are you interested in? Do you have access to your university library's data base? You can do a search on Medline and get a lot of information there. Last year I did a paper on Inupiat childrearing for a transcultural nursing course. It was fascinating. Email me privately if you need more info and I'll try to help.
