Hi Kevin. I don't want you to feel your post is being ignored. I've been diligently searching for an image of the colours, or an accurate description, but haven't had much luck.
Of course, if there's a perfectly good image of the colours in LOTM, the folks here will probably laugh at me. (I believe colours were displayed in the surrender scene.)
I have had a good time reading about the Royal Americans, however.
My hunch, FWIW, based on the protocol of the period is that the flag would have had the Jack in the Canton, with a Royal blue field, regimental number centered and probably surrounded by a wreath--most likely topped by a crown. Now whether the number would have been represented as "60" or "LX" (I'd lean toward LX), and what the precise design and colors of the wreath and numeral might be, I have no idea.
But since I'm hooked now, please post back here if you have better luck than I.
Meanwhile, I'm putting the link to the Royal Green Jackets below. I believe they are the direct descendants to the 60th, and they have a museum. Perhaps they have an old flag laying about.
: Does anyone know where I might find a picture, or a description of the regimental flag for the 60th during the F&I War?
: Any help is appreciated.
