I do tend to focus on the negative, at times. I should say - and this is why I've left the Board here for all this time - that the interactions on this Message Board have brought me immense satisfaction. There are folks I've met here that if I met out on the street one day, would certainly be bear-hugged. Ilse & Theresa are among that crowd - and it IS a crowd!!! - so to see that "spat" was, well, disheartening. I don't think that my posts helped, either.

I am an American, and so I do tend to think like an American, but as Elaine so aptly pointed out, this Board is read by people from all over the world ... Great Britain, the Netherlands, Brazil, Japan, Germany, Canada and Italy are probably at the top of the list, but Saudi Arabia, Switzerland, Mexico, The United Arab Emeriates (perhaps I butchered that spelling???) and many others make their ways here frequently, as well ... so, that shouldn't stop me from being American, but we'd all do well to realize that their are many who are not, and consequently have differing perspectives, much like we do here in the US - take Berkeley, Ca.

So anyway ... the Site flourishes, access-wise, the Board is steadily improving, sometimes surpassing the accesses of pre-July 24. Sales of the Guide Book, usually very steady, have been way down since 9/11, but we're not alone in that regard. Things are unsure in this world of ours, and that certainly does contribute to the jitters ... we need to support one another & fight off the common enemy.

I am sorry for any unthoughtful and seemingly cavalier comments that I made the past several days ... I love you all to death.

One other note, as wedding day approaches & remodeling the house (yes, we've been pumping money into the econony. Georgie would be proud!) winds down (though it sure doesn't look it around here!!!!), I may find my computer disconnected for a day or more this week ... Keep the candles burning!
