: : Has the US Postal Service issued any warnings to its employees regarding the recent mail-delivered strains of Anthrax??
: : Curious, but worried about all you guys (and gals)!!!
: : Be careful!

: Yes, but they've just scratched the surface ... more to come, I'm sure. Saw the Inspection Service at a press conference today.
: Two local Mohicanland scares in Hendersonville ... an exploding package in a collection box & white dust in the lobby of the Post office. The carrier, who unfortunately was opening the box, was quarantined. The office was cleared & then closed.
: They SAY both were false alarms ... pranks. What is wrong with these people???
There has been a similar case near here, in Smithfield per WRAL in Raleigh. A woman received an email that stated she would be getting a letter contaminated with Anthrax. She got the letter that day, then TOOK IT to the Police Department, where TWO other people handled it. I'm sure it is hard to think straight under duress sometimes, but HELLO - 9-1-1. They also later said it was a false alarm after the PD had been quarantined.
I fear you may be right Rich, we may just be scratching the surface in the last couple of days. I pray not though!! As of today, my daughter no longer checks the mail. Maybe these MEAN folks perpetrating these scares will also be caught under the terrorism umbrella when the main thrust of anti-terrorism is back in the homeland (if that is ever possible). What a time for the crazies to come out of the woodwork!
Praying for all the "Postal Boys" out there! Stay safe, Bud,
Di
