Wedding at Chimney Rock!

: Yesterday I was at Chimney Rock and witnessed something very wonderful: a wedding up on the chimney! We went to the Opera Box above the Chimney to watch, and everyone had tears in their eyes, even though we didn't know the people. To make it even more beautiful, the bride and groom and many of their guests were hearing impaired, so the minister conducted the ceremony using sign language. So even though we could only hear parts of what was being said, the visual impact of the grace and beauty of the sign language was exquisite. I don't know the bride and groom or their stories, but the bride let go a bunch of balloons to symbolize letting go of past losses and hurts, and I don't think I've ever seen anything so beautiful. It was very nice to see happy and hopeful people in the wake of the recent tragedy, and to see that terrorism can shake us, but can't break us.
