: Alhough I *think* I'm seeing most of the replies here, I cannot see Adele's response to Bill's "American Thought" here on the board (though I do see it when I pull up the individual post).

The problem there is that I was foolong with the Board's index most of the morning ... downloading it, making change in the html, uploading it. Did that several times. In all likelihood, Adele posted while I was doing that. The post exists in the post folder, but the index lost its access to it.

: This is in spite of refreshing the main page several times--this is a rather painful process by the way, as there is something about the opening applet/background music that causes a conflict on my computer and brings everything to grinding halt while my pc uses it's rather meager mental resources to slowly work it's way through.

Hmmmm .... I use a 300 Pentium II, system, now over 3 years old. Far from state of the art ... No problems.

: It makes me wonder what else I may be missing.

Not much. Like I said, it was my doing. I had replaced, on the page, the weather applet yesterday. It was then interfering with the Board's CGI script ... I discovered that this AM. You could not post a new thread. Therefore, my fiddling, Adele's post almost got lost, etc.

: PS, when I previewed this post, I wanted to make a correction and used the back button. After a looong wait, I came back to the main page. At the bottom, my name, email, and the subject were there in the reply, but the body of the message was gone.

THAT is an IE problem. Same happens to me. Using Netscape it never happens ... at least not to me!
