Elaine and all:
I attempted to post my message of prayers and thoughts yesterday but with computer problems widespread it didn't go through. I am so thankful your brother is safe. My heart goes out in grief to those who have been tragically affected by this evil. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of them and for our country. god bless us all.
peace, love and prayers,
Christina
: Dear Elaine,
: Thanks for reporting back -- I've been looking regularly. I'm so happy for you that he escaped. I can't imagine what he went through, and what he will go through as he learns what happened to friends and coworkers.

: : My brother is home, thank God. The trauma? He barely got out. He saw people falling from 100 plus floors to their deaths. He saw people jumping to escape the fire & the smoke. People screaming. Bleeding. He saw his building crumble to dust in moments. He had to literally run for his life through a nuclear-winter type atmosphere. He lived through a war zone today & will NEVER ever be the same. And that makes him a lucky one. Tens of thousands of people were attacked in THE most horrific act of terrorism ever seen. Death toll most likely will be well over 10,000 in NY alone. 266 dead from the hijacked planes. Some of them made cell phone calls home to tell what they were seeing in their last moments of terror. Stewardesses & pilots - stabbed to death. These poor people were ORDERED to call home & tell their families they were about to die. 100 - 800 dead at the Pentagon building. Over 50,000 people worked at the WTC. Up to 150,000 tourists visit the Towers daily. All flights marked for abduction were transatlantic. That means maximum fuel load. These cowards intended to MAXIMIZE the damage. Maximize the death toll of civilians.
: : There are several HUNDRED NY firefighters & police officers dead. Over 400! Thousands ... thousands of people dead. Thousands. Incomprehensible.
: : I am enormously grateful for the 'return' of my brother. Thousands of families will have no such return.
: : I can't believe they hijacked four planes, hit the Pentagon, & took out the World Trade Center. Tens of thousands of people murdered in a short time span.
: :
: : Thank you all for your thoughts & prayers. My prayers are with those thousands of families who have suffered the ultimate pain in today's terrorist strike. My condolences to Vita & Michael & all who've seen their world ripped apart.
: : September 11, 2001. A new era.
