: Whoa, Elaine! Thank you for this. I don't pretend to understand a lot of it. I think what struck me the most was actually seeing all those names. That certainly made this treaty real and in a sense brought it to life. Also, the money that was paid for the land. In trying to get a grasp on the happenings of things and the manner in which the American Indian was treated, it makes me sad to think that money replaced their land. Talk about the root of all evil.
