Aye, Rich! It was definitely a highlight of the Gathering. To see this magnificent, ultra-talented actor up close and personal was a treat of the first magnitude!! So many are arrogant beyond belief and seem so irritated to have to spend a few moments with the people who idolize them ( and ensure a "comfortable" living for them!), but I must say Wes was not one of that type. I, too, noticed the "almost embarrassment"...a look on his face of brief uneasiness, maybe the humility creeping out...when he first entered the room. Perhaps he expected to be mobbed and stripped and...(was Ros handcuffed to the table??) well, you know how mobs can get! And, yes, he soon overcame it and presented a very memorable evening for us all. I am glad I was there. Thanks!

: Having seen Wes Studi performances as the mean old villian - the Pawnee war leader in "Dances With Wolves" & Magua in "The Last of the Mohicans" - whodda thunk this guy was what he is?
: Seeing him on a talk show or two made me realize there was most definitely another side to this guy. So softspoken; so open; a lot was going on in there!
: As part of our accidental quest to interview a bunch of the cast members, we were most fortunate to land one from Wes. What a treat THAT WAS! We found out just how fine a person he is. The depth of his feeling; his willingness to look at the whole picture ... well, the interview speaks for itself.
: Then, this past June, we had the absolute pleasure to actually meet the guy & his family. Not a disappointment in the least. Wes was everything he seemed to be; everything we hoped he would be. He blended right in like one of the guys. He was funny, he was warm, he was honest, he was genuine.
: My favorite moments with him? The entry into the theater, as a hush fell over us all and there was a brief period of awkwardness ... and then watching him come right out of it and win us all over (hard to do, right?!?) ... Then, the next night, the absolute look of delight on his face as he received the not-so-mock award for his outstanding - though overlooked (snubbed????) - performance - in LOTM.
: I think he genuinely got a real kick out of that! Thanks for being there, Wes!
