New Jersey

My only opinion of New Jersey onc came from jokes (i.e toxic waste dumps..etc.) until we flew an E2C Hawkeye out there in 92 for a funeral of a beloved squadron mate who died in a carrier launch mishap. He was born and grew up in Little Silver NJ, and I can now see that his environment certainly had an effect on how beatiful a person he was. New Jersey, (outside of the stretch bording NY) took my breath away. And the coast.... he was Irish... Tom Waterbury was his name... and the wake was at a pub called "Donavan's Reef." The beach was glorious, the people were wonderful and profoundly changed my perception of that beutiful state.
