Hmmm.. I had thought that the actual sounds British redcoats made while at war during the 18th century might have gone the way of Latin. I hadn't realized that the skills in creating the right sound had been handed down from historian to historian through the last 2.5 centuries, preserved just as the skills in creating thatched roofs has been coddled and preserved, so that now Historians would be better at training soldiers than Soldiers. Intersting concept (can you see it?? Historians in their brown sweater vests, wrinkled shirts, sandels, and broken glasses teaching a corps of men how to be 18thC soldiers?? hahahaha).

You're reaching, Ben.

What's your point?

Cheers,

: My point is that the Redcoats are not portrayed right in the more recent films. For example, where is the feared Light Company's in Last of The Mohicans or The Patriot? There are a number of other errors other than mentioned in the Historical Accurate Section.

: 1) The 35th Is not a Royal Regiment, so why did it have a Royal Blue Colour?

: 2) Why did it have 3 Colours? All Regiments had a Kings Colour, and a Regiment Colour.

: 3) Why did it have Scottish Highland Grenadiers?

: 4) Why was Hayward wearing a uniform from a other Regiment? he would have had to have purchased one for the 35th Regiment of Foot.

: 5) Why did Captain Dye train the men instead of a historian? British Redcoats never ever made a war cry like they do in the ambush scene.

: I am do not mean to bitch, but these are small things, and if you going to do a film you might as well do it historically accurate as can be.

: Regards

: Ben
