Ah now, Ben ... you HAVE looked about the site a bit, haven't you? The search for the locations is why & how this site came to be. It was one of the dominating reasons for having Mohican Gatherings ... to share the beauty.
Anyway, the film, "The Last of the Mohicans," was filmed, in its entirety, within the confines of 6 western North Carolina counties ... Rutherford, Mitchell, Buncombe, Transylvania, Burke & McDowell. If you deeply peruse this web site, you can probably figure out most of the exact locations ... if not, we invite you to buy our book, "On the Trail of the Last of the Mohicans." ABOVE: The intro ... written long before I knew any of you! [save Susan!] Wow! How time flies. Reading that over right now makes me feel like I entered a time warp ... What a TRIP!
BLATANT PLUG: You might want to anyway, as a way of supporting the web site's existence. FACT: It costs us well over $200 per month to keep the site up & running. That's WAY over $2400 a year. That's a lot of money for us to perpetually have to come up with ... made easy with just a little help.
Buy a MUG!
