Eric and Sharon,
We always call after late nights home from events, so I am reporting in. We got back very late last night (Tuesday), as we decided to take a leisurely drive up the Skyline Drive, stayed overnight at a lodge up there, and then spent four hours at Antietam.

It was a wonderful Gathering, and many thanks to all those who put it together, esp. Rich and Elaine, and Marcia, and everyone!! The Major also sends his many thanks -- he had a great time, even though he still can't get over the fact that people go all the way down there for a movie!! :>))

I was really greatful for the new things we did, including (1) meeting new people; (2) seeing the Elk Hunt and Hunting the War Party; (3) hiking up to the falls. I regret, however, that I could not (1) spend more time with more people; (2) remember the sign language I learned after the second gathering so I could talk to Sharon; (3) take more pictures, since the reenactment garb didn't allow for me to carry around my good camera very easily. If anyone has any great pictures I might be interested in, I would be eternally thankful for copies!

: I have heard it more than once, "You always make sure we all get there." Yep!! Always do. Always will. Again it worries me till I know for sure that all are safe. I know that John Harkins and the Carroll's were having car trouble even before they left CRP. Pleeeeeeaaaaassssseeee take the time to sign in. Let me know that you make home safely. Yes, that means YOU!!
: The fourth takes its place in the number one spot. As it should. Each year a better gathering. Since this is the "last" gathering, I only have five words for you........... I'LL SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!!!!!
