We are here!!! We were in The Woodlands just north of Houston, Friday night, when it hit. My son had surgery on his wrist. Cyndie`s mom and I were going to come on home and Cyndie was going to bring him home next morning (they only let one person stay in the room with them over night) Needless to say, we were stuck there with all the hospital personel that were also stuck. We got 20 inches of rain in that area in just 9 hours. Some places got over 35 inches in that same time. It took us 2 hours to drive the 45 minute drive home. It`s really bad y`all. 100`s of cars caught on the highways in the flash floods. Water has finaly gone down enough to start recovering vehicles. So far, death toll is 15.
But, never fear! We are packing as I type. We are leaving tomorrow night and plan to be in NC for around 8 days.
See everyone this Weds.

: : Just wondering how the Texas faction of Mohicanites were fairin' with all the flooding associated with TS Allison. The rain totals in the area brought back some BAD memories of about a year and a half ago when we were hit with Floyd and Dennis.
: Have been in touch with both over the past 36 hours ... they seem fine. Both mentioned the storm & damage it had caused, but neither expressed any personal trauma!
: Hey, WE might be experiencing that rain ... in say, 3 or 4 days!
: YUK!
