: Sheriff Twigg!  Yoo-hoo, Sheriff Twigg!  I need to report a theft.  That's right, a blatant, wicked theft right in my own back yard.  I hung my wash out on the line to dry this morning, and when I got back from the Library Board meeting this afternoon, there was a whole line of wash gone.  Yes, gone!  Disappeared and the clothes pins dropped all over the yard.  I can't imagine who would want to take a dress and a shawl and . . . er, various . . . um, unmentionables, but  MY GOODNESS THAT'S THE VERY DRESS I WAS TALKING ABOUT RIGHT THERE ON YOUR . . . GUEST!  I believe I deserve some sort of explanation, Miss.  Just what are you doing wearing my dress?
